April Ipsy review

Disclaimer: I am not an employee of Ipsy or receiving any compensation for this post. All opinions are mine.

This was a great box! As a reminder of what was actually in my Ipsy box, Click here. Ipsy is tailored to your personal preference so what your friend gets, isn't necessarily what you are going to get! You can rate and review each item on the Ipsy website so each box is going to be closer and closer to what you love and actually use! Rating and reviewing your bag also gets you points to use on adding extra items in your bag. It's such a fantastic concept and for $10 a month, I think it's totally worth it. So on to the products!

I was most suprised by the Theorie Marula Oil. I am skeptical of hair oils because I have such fine and thin hair and even using a daily conditioner weighs it down. This Marula oil is so light and  soaks right in. It doesn't  weigh my hair down at all. It detangles my hair  so quickly especially   where my hair is bleached  and needs extra moisture. I've actually stopped conditioning my hair and just use this oil on the ends and my hair looks the best it's ever been. My only issue is with the packaging. It comes in a small glass bottle but doesn't have any kind of dropper so it's hard not to get too much.

I've been using the Ciate London Mini bamboo bronzer in palm island everytime I use a bronzer. It's such a perfect color for light skin. It blends really well so if you're nervous about contouring, give this one a go!

The Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank angled blush brush is so cute. It throws me back to elementary school where everything had to be 8000 different bright colored animals. I remember having a sticker sheet that was like 3 feet by 2 feet big full of Lisa Frank stickers and it may or may not have been my prized possession. It's a nice synthetic brush with a pretty pink tip.
                        ++++++++
I seriously loved the makeup bag this month. It looks just like a county Fair ticket. I have it in my purse holding all my current lippy favs.

I tried the Peek eyeshadow tin once and I wasn't blown away. It's a pretty color but was difficult to build up. I'm sure I could put it in a z palette and it wouldn't be so obnoxious but I don't love the packaging. If I had a lot of them it would be really difficult to tell which color was which without opening every single one.
                        ++++++++
I didn't love the Hey Honey lip balm. I was really hoping to. I love a good lip balm. It was just too thin. If they had put just a bit of beeswax in it to keep it on my lips better it would have been a slam dunk. But as it is, it's very slippery and feels semi-greasy on my lips. I don't know. Maybe you're into that kind of thing. Not my cup of tea.

So that was my bag this month! I am getting a Sephora Play bag in May in addition to Ipsy, and I'm super excited about it. Apparently I can't get enough.
